I believe that your engagement portraits should be an expression of your love story. That means I use photo locations that mean something to you as a couple, and give you the space to be yourselves! Because your love doesn’t shine through stiff, formal poses. It shows through when your fiancee makes you laugh, when you tuck your hair behind your ears and don’t even notice how much he loves that unconscious gesture. It shows through in the little moments when you get lost in each other’s smiles. I use a mix of simple, natural poses and relaxed, editorial photojournalism to capture your personality and love.
Sometimes amid the stress of planning a wedding, it can be hard to take time to stop and really focus on what’s important: each other. My engagement portrait photography sessions are different. Instead of another item to check off from the to do list, I love making it a date night for my clients. I want you to be able to have fun, to remember why you’re getting married in the first place, to have the space and time to just be with one another.
As a photographer, there’s nothing more special to me than helping a couple capture the uniqueness of their adventure together. Whether you are the most yourselves when in jeans and boots, or while you’re baking something in the kitchen together, or just leaning against a tree and laughing together, or anything in between, I want to help you tell your own love story with beautiful, natural portraits.
It’s your love story. I’m here to help you tell it with modern, timeless photography. Instead of forcing you into uncomfortable poses that might be pretty but aren’t very personal, I let your personalities guide the session. With gentle guidance and direction, I work hard to capture photographs that show off your very best selves and the love story you’re writing together. Using a blend of both natural portraits and off the cuff photojournalism, I’ll help you capture all that love and life!
